The Opera web browser had an extension called Opera Mail which is absent from the more recent versions, as Opera Mail became a separate application after the release of Opera 15 in 2013. However, it is present as an integrated browser extension in Opera releases from Opera 2 to Opera 12. Opera Mail includes a spam filter, a contact manager, RTF support, supports a news database and serves as a genuine mail client.
