It seems like every 2-3 times I open up my web browser I have Booking.com, Alibaba, or some other obviously promoted websited added to my speeddial menu. I can guarantee I'm not adding them and I don't like them automatically being added. I haven't been able to find an obvious setting to fix this. I will leave for a different browser if this doesn't get resolved - very annoying

The answer to the question is to disable the "Discover" feature in Opera. To do this, open the Opera browser, click the Opera menu icon in the upper left corner, select Settings, and then uncheck the box next to "Discover" under the "Browser" section.

Is there an integrated Opera email account available? Or is it just Opera Mail which is now a separate app?

Stephen Prastman
Answer by Stephen Prastman

No, there is no integrated account, since the Mail feature evolved into a standalone application. It is now available as a separate application.

Older versions of Opera still have this feature, but newer ones lack it.

Download the standalone version from the following page: http://www.opera.com/computer/mail

You can create an Opera Account using the URL provided by the developers. Browse to the URL posted below and fill the form with your details. It's not necessary to use your real name, only a valid email address and that's it. No one will verify the information that you write in those boxes.

You can't customize the keyboard shortcuts in the latest version of the Opera browser. You can enable them from Settings menu but that's the only tweak you can apply for the browser.

Answer by Pete Clapp

Opera is very similar with Google Chrome and the process is the same like it was explained in the related question. Right-click the web page, select Inspect Element and press the Click to viewenter image description here icon to dock the page in the main window. Next, you need to press the Click to viewenter image description here tab, next to Profiles and to expand the Frames list using the Click to viewenter image description here icon. Also, expand the folder below the Frames and then the Images one: Click to viewenter image description here. Select the background image from the list and once it is opening in the right window right-click on the image and select the third option: Click to viewenter image description here. Select the new tab that is opening, right-click the image and select Save image as. Type a name in the File Name field, select a destination directory and click Save.

Note: You need to know that not all web pages are build up using a background image.

What do you have Windows/Mac or whatever? Which type do you have, x32 or x64? By this information you need to download it like: Windows 7 x64. Well, when your using Software informer and try to update, check if it will be installed in the correct direction like: x64 Opera vesion will be installed in Program Files (x86) WRONG, needs to be installed in Program Files/Opera (or whatever).

I cannot install plug-ins in Opera. Please help me!

Stephen Prastman
Answer by Stephen Prastman

The plug-ins you have downloaded need to be launched from the outside Opera interface since these are system plug-ins which Opera uses. Launch the plug-ins from your desktop with your Opera browser closed. Opera is configured to use the plug-ins when you install them.

I'm using Opera 10.10 and when I go to YouTube (for example) it is asking me to click the grey circle icon "to activate or download the plugin".

Answer by Murtuza

You might not be having all the plugins... To install all the opera plugins go to http://www.opera.com/docs/plugins/ and install all the required plugins...
